I always dreamed of being a writer, but it's so hard to find the time and focus with all my other responsibilities.
CUT TO:
INT. KITCHEN - DAY
Jessica is cooking dinner while her husband, MIKE, watches TV.
MIKE
(not looking up from the TV)
What did you do today?
JESSICA
(looking at Mike)
Oh, just worked on my writing.
MIKE
(skeptically)
Writing? That's not really a job, is it?
Jessica looks hurt but tries to hide it.
CUT TO:
INT. HOME OFFICE - DAY
Jessica is sitting at her desk, staring at the blank page on her computer.
JESSICA (V.O.)
(in her head)
I know I have something to say, but every time I sit down to write, I just can't seem to focus.
CUT TO:
INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY
Jessica is sitting at a table, sipping coffee and typing on her laptop. She looks focused and determined.
JESSICA (V.O.)
(in her head)
I realized that I need to change my environment to be able to focus on my writing.
CUT TO:
INT. HOME OFFICE - DAY
Jessica has rearranged her office, and it now looks like a cozy writing nook. She is sitting in her chair, surrounded by books and a lit candle.
JESSICA (V.O.)
(in her head)
I also realized that I need to make writing a priority in my life.
CUT TO:
INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY
Mike walks in and sees Jessica writing at her desk.
MIKE
(surprised)
You're still writing? I thought you'd given up on that.
Jessica looks up and smiles.
JESSICA
(determined)
No, I haven't given up. I'm going to keep writing, no matter what.
CUT TO:
INT. COFFEE SHOP - DAY
Jessica is typing on her laptop when a man, JIM, walks up to her.
JIM
(smiling)
Excuse me, but I couldn't help but notice you writing. Are you a writer?
Jessica smiles.
JESSICA
(proudly)
Yes, I am.
JIM
(excitedly)
Me too! Would you like to join my writing group? We meet once a week and share our work.
Jessica's face lights up.
JESSICA
(gratefully)
That would be amazing. Thank you.

INT. HOME OFFICE - DAY
Jessica is typing on her laptop, surrounded by books and a lit candle.
JESSICA (V.O.)
(in her head)
I realized that to become a writer, I need to make writing a priority in my life, and surround myself with people who share the same passion. And now, I'm finally on my way to achieving my dreams.
