On Mahashivratri, the night of Lord Shiva,
Devotees gather to offer their prayers,
To the one who is both destroyer and giver,
Whose divine presence fills the air.

The mighty Lord with his trident in hand,
And a serpent coiled around his neck,
Is the one who rules over this land,
With his power and divine grace.

His eyes are closed in deep meditation,
As he sits atop the lofty Mount Kailash,
He is the source of eternal inspiration,
And the destroyer of all evil and malice.

On this holy night, devotees sing and dance,
As they seek the blessings of the divine,
Their hearts filled with love and reverence,
For the one who is both fierce and benign.

As the chants of "Om Namah Shivaya" fill the air,
And the scent of incense and flowers rise,
The devotees bow in humble prayer,
As they seek the grace of the Lord who is wise.

May Lord Shiva bless us on this holy night,
And guide us on the path of righteousness,
May his divine light shine forever bright,
And bring us peace, love, and happiness.
